Celebrate Local Excellence: Nominations Open for 2026 Hometown Hero Awards
The Maumee Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 51st Annual Hometown Hero Awards, taking place on Thursday, March 26, 2026. This long-standing tradition honors the exceptional individuals and businesses whose dedication and service have profoundly impacted the Maumee community.
Sponsored by Bank 419, the celebration will be held at The Pinnacle (1772 Indian Wood Cir, Maumee) beginning at 5:30 PM.
Nomination Categories
The Chamber is currently seeking nominations for those who go above and beyond for our city. You may submit nominations in the following five categories:
- Hometown Hero: Awarded to an individual who has improved the community through heroic action, humanitarian effort, or significant compassion.
- Outstanding Citizen: Recognizes a person who displays exceptional dedication and has consistently given their time and talent to make Maumee a better place to live.
- Golden Apple: Honors a teacher, counselor, youth leader, or mentor who has shown excellence in education and serves as an inspiring role model for students.
- Maumee River Award: Presented to a business or organization that has made a tangible, measurable impact on the community through leadership, job creation, or philanthropy.
- Bridge Youth Leadership Award: Recognizes an individual or organization that has fostered the development of local youth through coaching, mentoring, or facilitating after-school activities.
